Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Controls Engineer to provide advanced support for control systems and automated production equipment across our facilities. The role focuses on troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, documentation, and continuous improvement to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of controls experience in manufacturing, with preference for food/beverage exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of controls experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components in food manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with installation and repair of manufacturing equipment in sanitary environments.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• CMMS experience; SAP PM knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with control systems and automated production equipment.
• Interface with Operations, Technical Services and external resources on design/operational issues.
• Support automation-driven cost efficiency initiatives through data analysis.
• Lead or support root cause analyses to improve processes.
• Support training of Operators and Maintenance staff on control methods.
• Ensure solutions comply with security and audit requirements in partnership with IT.
• Support capital project teams and startup protocols (FAT, SAT, commissioning).
• Maintain documentation, standards and records for control systems.
• Support change management and backup procedures for automation programs.
