Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Controls Engineer for a fully remote role based out of Illinois, Texas or Georgia, with travel around 50%. The role provides advanced technical support for control systems and automated production equipment, troubleshooting, startup/commissioning, and continuous improvement across the facility.

You will interface with Operations, Technical Services, and capital project teams, ensure security and audit compliance, and contribute to documentation and standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components in food manufacturing equipment and safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with installation and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment in a sanitary environment.
• Lean and Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• CMMS experience; SAP Plant Maintenance knowledge a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership and analytical skills.
• Experience creating and enforcing manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve control systems and packaging equipment issues.
• Interface with Operations and IT on design and operational issues.
• Support automation-driven cost-efficiency initiatives via data analysis.
• Lead or support root-cause analyses to improve processes.
• Support training of Operators and Maintenance staff on control methods.
• Ensure solutions comply with company security practices and audits.
• Provide technical support to capital project teams.
• Assist startup protocols, including Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Prepare and maintain control system documentation and standards.
• Support change management and backup procedures for automation programs.
