Job summary

a la C.A.R.T.E. Solutions is a fast-growing, fully remote CFO advisory and outsourced accounting firm seeking a seasoned Controller to lead financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls for multiple client entities as part of a remote advisory team.

You will mentor Shared Services Specialists and Accountants, drive budgeting and forecasting, and partner with leadership to identify new service opportunities while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems (QB, Xero, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of clients’ financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
• Take ownership of the entire accounting function, including corporate finance, GAAP adherence, and tax compliance.
• Spearhead strategic financial planning by translating data into actionable insights tailored to client goals.
• Lead the creation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reports with a focus on business alignment.
• Manage and guide complex financial projects, ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives.
• Interpret and apply new accounting standards, serving as a firm-wide content expert and advisor.
• Lead the team to deliver on all tasks, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
• Mentor and develop employees, nurturing growth and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement new service opportunities for existing clients.
• Drive innovation in financial systems and processes, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
