AccountingDepartment.com is a leader in outsourced virtual accounting services. We seek a Senior Controller to lead a team of 6–10 while managing 15 clients, delivering strategic financial operations in a 100% remote setting.

The role emphasizes budgeting, analytics, KPIs, and client advisory services to reduce risk and improve performance. CPA/MBA preferred; extensive accounting software experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license, CMA or MBA preferred.
• 10 years of supervisory experience.
• Outsourced accounting experience with SMBs (5M–25M).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting team for assigned clients.
• Provide strategic leadership into scalable accounting operations.
• Manage month-end closes and client financial reports.
• Collaborate with client leadership on operational and strategic decisions.
• Develop annual budgets and cash forecasting tools.
• Provide actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
• Coordinate information for external audits and tax filings.
