Job summary

ISSA is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting organization, reporting to the CFO. You will oversee close, consolidations, compliance, audits, and treasury while driving process improvements and automation across the finance function.

This is a 100% remote role for eligible states in the US. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience, 2+ years as a Controller, CPA, and a strong grasp of GAAP/IFRS, with experience in ecommerce and technology-enabled finance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years as Controller.
• 3+ years in public accounting with a Big 8 firm preferred.
• Experience in ecommerce and performance marketing a plus.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA required; MBA a plus.
• Strong GAAP and IFRS knowledge and tech-enabled process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and efficiency of the accounting cycle.
• Lead a world-class accounting team, develop roles, and drive recruitment as needed.
• Manage close, consolidations, GAAP/Bookings reporting, and audits/tax engagements.
• Maintain internal controls, payroll, A/P, A/R, cash management, and tax compliance.
• Partner with Technology to implement new processes and potential ERP, automate reconciliations, and improve close days.
