Job summary

NVK & CSI seeks a Controller to lead the monthly close, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness across a multi-entity childcare organization. You will manage accruals, journal entries, and complex reporting while driving process improvements using NetSuite and AI-based tools.

This is a remote US role supporting senior leadership and offshore teams. Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (MBA preferred), and strong US GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA/Finance masters preferred.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally multi-entity.
• Controller/Assistant Controller or Senior Accounting Manager experience preferred.
• Public accounting background preferred.
• Experience with remote leadership teams and offshore accounting support preferred.
• Multi-location, franchise, childcare, healthcare, hospitality, or service-based business experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Own monthly close calendar and ensure timely reporting.
• Accrual Accounting & Journal Entry Oversight: Prepare, review, and approve monthly accruals and entries.
• Variance Analysis & Financial Review: Analyze monthly variances and provide insights for leadership.
• Balance Sheet Integrity & Reconciliations: Maintain reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Audit Readiness & Controls: Ensure audit-ready documentation and assist external auditors.
• NetSuite & Process Improvement: Use NetSuite as the system of record and improve close efficiency.
