Job summary

Vornoy Advisors is hiring a hands-on Controller to own end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of client entities, closing monthly books and delivering accurate reporting. You will directly manage client relationships and review work papers to ensure CFO-ready statements under US GAAP.

You will coordinate with offshore teams, drive process improvements, and maintain balance sheet integrity while working remotely within the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, including recent full-cycle close ownership.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge for private companies (accruals, revenue, inventory).
• QBO fluency; power-user level.
• Experience reviewing others' work and giving feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close for assigned clients, including calendar and cutoffs.
• Prepare/review workpapers and deliver the monthly reporting package.
• Act as the quality gate for offshore work before client delivery.
• Explain the reports to CFOs to support decision making.
• Support budgets, forecasts, and cash reporting when needed.
