Aduro Advisors is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage client relationships, perform technical accounting tasks, and support growth of the team. You will balance preparer and reviewer roles, oversee junior staff, and ensure high-quality service for top-tier venture capital and private equity clients.

The role emphasizes project management, training, and collaboration, with a focus on practical technical excellence and thoughtful client service. Remote work across the US is supported.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in the alternative assets space, VC/PE preferred.
• CPA certification and/or MBA are a plus.
• Strong US GAAP and partnership accounting knowledge.
• Experience leading client engagements and teams is important.

Responsibilities

• Act as main client contact for multiple clients and coordinate Aduro team work.
• Set up and run recurring client check-in calls; track status and items.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc client requests within 24 hours.
• Reconcile banking, prepare journal entries, and maintain ledgers (US GAAP, Xero).
• Drive month-end close and coordinate with senior staff or clients.
• Coordinate audit materials and year-end financial statements.
