Job summary

Attivo Partners, a fast-growing finance and accounting consulting firm, seeks a Controller to own client accounting, close processes, budgeting, and tax compliance across multiple startups. You will lead a team, develop financial models, and drive ASC 606 policy implementation.

Location is flexible/remote with periodic travel for events; candidates in major hubs or remote in the US are welcome. 8+ years in accounting, CPA preferred, and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years at Assistant Controller level.
Experience leading high-performing accounting teams.
Experience in fast-paced technology or professional services environments.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end close, eliminations & consolidations, journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly consolidated client financials with fluctuation analysis and budgets vs. actual.
Set client accounting and tax policies; define ASC 606 revenue policies.
Lead cash management, forecasting and vendor payments.
Build financial models to help clients manage cash and operational decisions.
Create KPI dashboards and mentor accounting teams across clients.
Oversee client tax matters and lead annual audits.
