Job summary

Vessel Advisors seeks a Controller to support the VP of Operations and serve multiple clients in a fractional capacity. The role covers financial discovery, process improvements, budgeting and real estate/construction accounting, with ownership of client financial processes and on-time deliverables.

The Controller will oversee internal, client, and third-party staff, maintain confidentiality, and communicate with growth-stage CEOs and general contractors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Controller/Accounting leadership for construction/real estate.
• Experience with WIP, AIA billing, PCM/POC, multi-entity consolidations.
• CPA/CCIFP bonus is a strong advantage.
• Excellent virtual communication across channels.

Responsibilities

• Support VP of Operations and manage month-end close for multiple clients.
• Lead weekly/monthly client reporting and ad-hoc advisory work.
• Communicate with stakeholders and build trusted client relationships.
• Lead financial discovery assessments for new engagements.
