Job summary

Vessel Advisors seeks a seasoned Controller to support the VP of Operations and manage client financials across multiple engagements. You will lead month-end close, advise on process improvements, and supervise staff while sustaining high confidentiality and rapid response.

Applicants should have extensive construction/real estate accounting, strong software skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach to deliver precise financial insights and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Controller/Accounting leadership within Construction or Real Estate.
• CPA/CCIFP bonus; multi-entity real estate consolidations experience preferred.
• Strong experience with WIP, AIA billing, and CPC accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close for multiple client entities.
• Oversee internal and external staff and client staff.
• Lead Financial Discovery Assessments and ad-hoc advisory work.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
