Job summary

Vessel Advisors is expanding its core team with a full-time Consulting Controller who thrives in multi-client environments and remote settings. If you have public accounting/audit roots and elite executive presence to lead in-person assessments, this role was built for you.

You will lead onsite discovery sessions, deliver strategic financial roadmaps, manage month-end close across multiple clients, and ensure audit-ready books while partnering with former Big 4 leaders.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in financial audit, assurance, or risk advisory at a public accounting firm (CPA a bonus)
• 8+ years in progressive accounting roles
• Exceptional ability to lead in-person discovery meetings with execs
• High proficiency in cloud accounting platforms (QBO, NetSuite, Sage Intacct)
• Organized and agile with travel schedules and client emails

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite 2-3 day discovery sessions with growth-stage CEOs and executive teams
• Deliver comprehensive assessment reports and actionable financial roadmaps
• Serve as lead Controller across multiple recurring clients
• Ensure books are audit-ready with strong internal controls
• Direct and review work of supporting staff and contractors
