Job summary

Urrly, Inc. is seeking a Controller to own the full accounting cycle as a hands-on department of one, during a carve-out and transition to an independent function. You will partner directly with the CFO and help build the systems, controls, and reporting foundation for the company’s growth.

You will lead day-to-day operations, close, audits, and project-level financial visibility, enabling forecasts and board reporting in a remote-friendly environment with ET hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with close ownership.
• Strong command of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, including subscription revenue.
• Government contracting accounting experience including DCAA.
• ERP implementation or involvement in system improvements.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Hands-on leader in a small or scaling company.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close.
• Support audit readiness and internal controls.
• Enable project-level financial tracking and forecasting.
• Contribute to board and investor reporting.
• Assist with budgets, variance analysis, and cash flow.
• Drive ERP selection and implementation for government contracts.
