Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first digital estate planning company, seeks a Controller to lead accounting operations and internal controls. You will drive month-end close, tax compliance, and financial reporting across our entity and subsidiaries while partnering with the CFO on strategic cost analysis.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting, 4–5 years in a controller role in high-growth environments, and hands-on experience with AI-enabled workflows and modern fintech tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting with 4–5 years in a controller or leadership role in high-growth settings
• Experience applying AI or automation to accounting workflows
• CPA certification preferred; startup/VC experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR for Trust & Will
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations
• Lead audits and ensure accurate financial records
• Manage accounting tech stack and collaborate with FP&A
