Zusammenfassung

Turnout is seeking a Controller to own accounting operations end to end in a fast-growing AI-driven advocacy platform. You will manage the close, revenue recognition, payables, audits, and internal controls, partnering with leadership and outside counsel.

This hands-on role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 606, and solid ERP proficiency. Based in Solana Beach/San Diego area with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally including time in public accounting.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, with hands-on ASC 606 for complex revenue.
• Proven ownership of a full monthly close and external audits.
• Strong ERP experience, plus modern AP/expense tools such as Ramp.
• Meticulous organization and document management habits.
• Clear communication with non-finance stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
• Maintain revenue schedules, deferred revenue, and reconciliations.
• Document revenue policies and judgments for audit support.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor onboarding, and expense reimbursement.
• Enforce spend policies and track budget across departments.
• Coordinate payroll accounting and 1099 reporting.
• Design and maintain internal controls.
