Ottimate is seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to own accounting operations, drive a disciplined close, and keep the company audit-ready as it grows. You will partner with FP&A, Payments, and Senior Leadership to provide insights and ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role emphasizes building controls, leading a capable team, and leveraging AI and automation to shorten close times while maintaining accuracy. Remote-US location with equity and bonus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller at a standalone company.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, ASC 606; SaaS/FinTech experience preferred.
• Experience leading external audits and liaising with auditors.
• Hands-on AP leadership and experience selecting or implementing AP automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, cash, payroll accounting; run month-end close with timely financials.
• Be the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors; drive GAAP audits.
• Reconcile monthly payment-partner activity and ensure revenue recognition is correct.
• Build and maintain internal controls and financial policies; oversee compliance and registrations.
• Manage near-term cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and intercompany funding.
• Maintain audit-ready, diligence-ready finance functions and data rooms; support due diligence.
• Drive automation and AI to reduce manual work and accelerate the close.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; oversee vendor relationships and costs.
