Job summary

Urrly is seeking a Controller for Accounting Operations & FP&A to own day-to-day accounting, drive faster month-end close, and deliver cleaner reporting. The role includes FP&A support, acquisition integration insights, automation initiatives, and direct partnership with senior finance leadership.

This remote-first role emphasizes hands-on accounting, process modernization, and building scalable finance processes for a sponsor-backed professional services business.

Qualifications

• Experience owning accounting operations in a smaller or mid-sized business.
• Exposure to FP&A, forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, or board reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations across payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting workflows.
• Lead the close process with speed, accuracy, reviewability, and repeatability.
• Maintain clean financial records supporting leadership and board reporting, audit readiness, and lender data requests.
• Oversee and develop one direct report in a senior accountant/ accounting specialist capacity.
• Support registrations, compliance-related finance administration, and other operational finance needs.
