Job summary
Smart Tech Contracting LLC is hiring an Entry-Level Control Systems Engineer II. This remote role supports BAS, EPMS and software integration for hyperscale data centers, coordinating with MEP/FP engineers, ICT staff, BIM designers and client personnel to ensure design accuracy and acceptance.
The position emphasizes foundational technical knowledge, strong communication, and growth into design deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline.
- Entry-level position suitable for BAS/EPMS, controls or MEP design career.
- Strong communication and desire to grow into design deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist in production of BAS/EPMS documents.
- Support designs for DDC and PLC-based building automation and EPMS systems.
- Assist with selection of instrumentation, sensors, actuators, valves and other field devices.
- Review project book and sheet specifications and sequence of operations.
- Create and review system diagrams and alarm lists.
- Coordinate with client IT for secure systems and best practices.
- Utilize Revit to prepare drawings and visual aids.
- Assist with project coordination, RFIs, submittals and quality reviews.
- Support reporting and time tracking.
