Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Control Room Operator to remotely monitor and control a diverse portfolio of renewable assets from the Dayton ROCC, including wind, solar, and BESS. You will manage real-time data, alarms, and performance across multiple grid regions with limited supervision.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in control room operations, familiarity with SCADA and NERC standards, and the ability to perform under a rotating 12-hour shift schedule while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• 2+ years in control center operations for utility-scale assets.
• Familiarity with NERC standards and SCADA operations.
• Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS assets.
• Monitor portfolio via SCADA for faults, errors, alarms, and underperformance.
• Adjust plant operating parameters as directed by Balancing Authority and Operations Management.
• Coordinate outage support and energy isolation with field personnel and TOP.
