Job summary

Ultra Maritime, a unit of Ultra Electronics Group, seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to independently manage the full lifecycle of U.S. Government and defense contracts. This role is highly customer-facing, requiring direct interaction with government customers and prime contractors.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of FAR and DFARS, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization. Remote-US option with security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of contracts experience with U.S. Government/defense programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Ability to negotiate and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage full contract lifecycle including proposals, negotiations, admin, and closeout.
• Serve as primary contracts interface with U.S. Government customers and prime contractors.
• Lead negotiations to achieve favorable business outcomes while ensuring compliance.
• Advise on contractual rights, risks, and mitigations.
• Draft/ negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, REAs, and claims.
• Interpret FAR/DFARS and agency supplements.
• Support proposal development and compliance matrices.
• Identify risks and report to leadership.
• Prepare written materials and presentations for leadership and customers.
• Contribute to contracts policy improvements.
