We are looking for a Interim Contracts Manager to support a global satellite communications organization operating within the defense sector.

This company is undergoing a strategic organizational transition, and this role will play a key part in maintaining contract operations and supporting process continuity during the handover period.

Position Overview

This is a short-term, high-impact engagement for a Contracts professional with strong experience in defense and government contracting.

The selected candidate will take ownership of contract activities, ensure compliance with defense contracting standards, and support the business during a critical transition period.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including drafting, review, and execution
• Ensure adherence to defense contract standards and regulatory requirements
• Support contract negotiations with prime contractors and subcontractors
• Partner closely with Legal and business leadership, including Head of Legal
• Help facilitate smooth handover and documentation of processes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of contracts management experience, preferably in defense/government contracting
• Strong understanding of defense contract standards and compliance requirements (FAR/flowdowns preferred)
• Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle ownership
• Ability to operate independently and own the contracts function
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
