Post University seeks an in-house Compliance & Contracts Attorney to advise stakeholders across the university, focusing on contracts, regulatory compliance, and related legal matters. The role collaborates with University Counsel to draft and negotiate policies supporting online and on-campus programs.

JD required with bar admission and at least two years of practice; higher education experience is welcome.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Bar admission in at least one state in good standing; Connecticut house counsel status is required.
• Minimum two years of practice as a lawyer.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key provisions (copyright, data privacy, IT security, indemnification, insurance).
• Eager to learn and stay updated on regulations affecting University operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to convey advice clearly and present to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, and data privacy matters.
• Review outgoing group student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assist with international compliance for international students.
• Support intellectual property matters as requested.
• Assist with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing compliance as learned.
• Perform legal research and prepare educational material for the institution.
• Contribute to solving student concerns and employment issues after onboarding.
• Collaborate with university associates across departments.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
