Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Contents Adjuster to handle losses for property and casualty insurers. This remote, full-time role supports claim resolution from various states, coordinating with claimants and witnesses, reviewing records, and negotiating settlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjuster license is required.
• IIA-AIC designation to be obtained within 12–18 months.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine policies and records to determine coverage.
• Interview claimants and witnesses; handle correspondence.
• Consult police/hospital records; inspect property damage.
• Estimate cost of repair or replacement.
• Prepare findings; negotiate settlements.
• Recommend litigation when settlements fail; attend hearings.
• Update case reserves; assist in loss experience reporting.
