Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Content Desk Adjuster who can handle a remote workload across multiple states. The role focuses on evaluating coverage, performing detailed claim investigations, and guiding settlements efficiently.

You will work within a collaborative team while maintaining accuracy and timely communication with claimants. You will need a Bachelor's degree (or higher) and an adjuster license, plus 3 years of related property and casualty experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; must obtain IIA-AIC designation within 12–18 months.
• Active state adjuster license required.
• Three years of related experience in property and casualty claims.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates policies, forms, endorsements, to determine coverage.
• Investigates claims, gathers reports, inspects damage to assess liability.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses by phone or correspondence.
• Estimates cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.
• Prepares findings, negotiates settlements, and handles salvage when applicable.
• Recommends litigation when settlements cannot be reached.
• Maintains caseload and uses automation tools for efficient handling.
• Sends cases exceeding $15,000 to leadership for approval.
