Job summary

SouthState Bank, N.A. is seeking a Consumer Loan Processor to manage the pipeline from application through closing. You will review documents, coordinate with lenders, perform title work, and ensure compliance with HMDA, flood determinations, and disclosures.

The role requires strong time management and communication skills to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced real estate loan environment. Remote work options may be available within the footprint.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Experience: One to three years of consumer loan documentation experience required. Loan processing with real estate transactions is preferred.
• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook. Knowledge of NewGen is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming consumer loan closing and title requests in the Bank's consumer loan origination system, including, but not limited to: HELOCs, manufactured homes with no land, modifications.
• Reviews loan approval, supporting documentation, and Bank systems to ensure due diligence is completed prior to sending loan request to consumer loan closing.
• Requests documentation from Customer and/or Lender as applicable to the loan submission.
• Orders third party services including tax transcripts, title work, flood determination, survey, payoffs, VIN verification, and insurance declarations information.
• Obtains all required conditions as established by underwriting.
• Keeps Customer and Lender updated on document requests and loan status.
• Coordinates closing date with Lender, Customer and/or Closing Agent.
• Manages pipeline of consumer real estate applications to meet department SLAs.
• Ensures the consumer loan origination system data is entered accurately and timely.
• Submits a complete and accurate loan file to Consumer loan closing.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
