Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a talented Construction Manager to join the Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA. We will consider fully remote for the right candidate.

You will review monthly status of ground-up projects, focusing on multi-family, student housing, high-rise, garden-style, podium construction, plus steel and industrial structures. You will be part of a team of 4 Construction Managers, with room for varied job levels based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the construction industry in PM or owner/developer roles.
• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent construction experience.
• Knowledge of plans, specs, contracts and loan draw review processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; prioritization under deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for on-site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and assessments to evaluate risks for loan teams.
• Suggest process, product or service improvements based on issues.
• Solve complex problems with broad business impact and innovative thinking.
• Monitor projects through completion to ensure conformance to plans; travel for on-site draws.
• Attend kick-off meetings for new construction projects and set up documentation.
• Maintain extensive project records for internal distribution.
