Pacific Life is seeking a Construction Manager to join the Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA, with potential for full remote work for the right candidate. The role involves reviewing monthly status of ground-up projects, including multi-family, student housing, high-rise, and podium construction, and coordinating with a team of four managers to advance projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction project management or ownership/development roles.
• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience in construction.
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specs, contracts and loan draw review processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and property condition assessments, and provide feedback to Loan Closing and Equity teams during due diligence.
• Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend process, product or service improvements.
• Solve complex problems with a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
• Monitor construction through completion to protect against faulty construction; travel for on-site draw meetings.
• Understand loan documents and attend kick-off meetings for new construction projects.
• Maintain extensive project documentation and related records for internal use and distribution.
