Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Construction Manager to join the Construction Services team. The role focuses on reviewing monthly status of ground-up construction projects including multi-family, student housing, and industrial structures. A team of 4 will support; travel is required for on-site draw meetings.

The position offers potential for remote work for the right candidate and requires strong communication, planning, and construction knowledge to ensure projects align with approved documents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the construction industry with PM or CM experience.
• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specs, contracts and loan draw review process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint and Box; Procore.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and property condition assessments to evaluate risks and provide feedback to Loan Closing and Equity teams.
• Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend improvements.
• Solve complex problems with broad impact and identify innovative solutions.
• Monitor construction through completion to protect against faulty work; travel for on-site draw meetings.
• Understand loan documents and relate them to construction deals; attend kick-off meetings for new projects.
• Maintain extensive project documentation and records for internal or distribution use.
