Job summary
Pacific Life is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA. The role reviews monthly status of ground-up construction projects and requires extensive experience in multi-family, student housing, high-rise, garden-style, and podium construction, with steel/industrial structures.
A new position sits on a team of 4 managers; travel is required for on-site meetings. We will consider fully remote for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in the construction industry, PM or manager role.
- 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of plans, contracts and loan draw review.
Responsibilities
- Review construction documents and property condition assessments to evaluate risks for loan closing teams.
- Interpret business issues and recommend process or service improvements.
- Solve complex problems with broad perspectives and innovative solutions.
- Monitor construction through completion to prevent faulty work; travel for on-site draw meetings.
- Set up and attend kick-off meetings for new construction projects and maintain complete project records.
