Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Construction Manager to join the Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA. The role focuses on reviewing monthly status of ground-up projects across multi-family and related structures, with potential for remote work for the right candidate.

You will lead a team of 4 construction managers and contribute to project success from planning through completion. Candidates should have 10+ years in construction, a 4-year degree (preferred), and strong skills in plans,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the construction industry (PM or CM)
• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work exp.
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specs, contracts and loan draw review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for on-site draw meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and assessments; provide feedback during due diligence.
• Interpret business issues; recommend process or service improvements.
• Solve complex problems with broad perspective and innovative solutions.
• Monitor construction through completion; travel for on-site meetings.
• Understand loan documents in relation to construction deals and attend kick-off meetings.
• Maintain extensive project documentation for internal use and distribution.
