Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I for its EPC operations. The role starts as a contingent position with potential to become permanent and focuses on warranty analysis, emerging technologies implementation, and field support across construction projects.

You will coordinate engineering information flow, manage RFIs, review design requirements, and maintain document control while supporting drone, GPS, and other tech-enabled workflows. Travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or closely related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience with guidance toward independent execution.
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willing to pursue.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings across civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical plans.
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes, testing practices (pile load testing), and engineering documentation.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and disciplined documentation.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with ability to identify inconsistencies and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills to explain design updates and gather field information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD, GIS, drone platforms, GPS machine-control datasets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather field data, photos, as‑built information, and installation details for warranty evaluations.
  • Document design, manufacturing, or installation concerns and organize findings for senior review.
  • Compare field conditions against design documents to identify root causes of warranty issues.
  • Maintain traceable warranty logs to support issue tracking and resolution.
  • Coordinate engineering input for remediation plans and communicate actions to teams and clients.
