Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an experienced Construction Claim Advocate to represent general contractors through the full claim and dispute-resolution process. You will evaluate coverage, coordinate with insurers, and advise on risk-transfer strategies to move matters toward resolution.

This remote-based role offers flexibility to work virtually or from an Aon office. Candidates should have deep construction claims knowledge, strong judgment, and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial insurance and construction claims experience.
• Experience with job-site accidents and general liability claims.
• Willingness to obtain a Property & Casualty license within four months.
• New York Labor Law experience (e.g., 200, 240(1), 241(6)) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent general contractors on construction GL claims, incl. job-site accidents.
• Coordinate with insurers, TPAs, and defense/coverage counsel on liability and resolution.
• Analyze coverage and contractual indemnity provisions to maximize recovery.
• Develop and pursue risk-transfer strategies with subcontractors/insurers.
• Support construction defects and completed operations claims and disputes.
• Manage litigated claims and participate in claim reviews.
• Review claim documents and recommend action.
• Translate complex issues into clear client recommendations and maintain documentation.
