Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an experienced Construction Claim Advocate to represent general contractors on complex general liability claims. The role focuses on navigating coverage analysis, risk transfer, and coordination with insurers, TPAs, and defense counsel.

You will advocate through the claim lifecycle, manage litigated matters, and translate complex issues into clear recommendations for clients while driving timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience is required.
• Willingness to obtain a Property and Casualty license within four months of hire (90 days).
• Experience with New York Labor Law claims (strongly preferred) and construction-related liability claims.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for general contractors and construction clients throughout the claim and dispute-resolution process.
• Evaluate coverage and contractual risk-transfer opportunities; coordinate with insurers and defense and coverage counsel.
• Analyze coverage and contracts to maximize insurance recovery; develop risk-transfer strategies.
• Support defects and completed operations claims and manage litigated claims with defense and coverage counsel.
• Maintain proactive communication, report claim status, and provide practical solutions to clients.
