Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Construction Claim Advocate to support general contractors and construction clients through complex general liability claims and disputes. This remote-based role offers flexibility to work virtually or from an Aon office, with opportunities to influence outcomes through proactive risk transfer and coverage analysis.

The role requires deep construction claims experience, strong negotiation and client-facing skills, and the ability to manage litigated claims while coordinating

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial insurance or construction claims experience.
• Experience with job-site accidents, coverage analysis, and risk transfer.
• New York Labor Law knowledge, §§ 200, 240(1), and 241(6) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license within four months of hire (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Advocate for general contractors and construction clients through the claim and dispute-resolution process.
• Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and contractual obligations; coordinate with insurers and defense counsel.
• Develop coordinated resolution strategies with carriers, TPAs, and counsel.
• Review coverage positions and claim reports; recommend actions.
• Translate complex liability and coverage issues into clear recommendations.
