Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Construction Claim Advocate to lead and manage complex general liability claims for construction clients. The role involves advocating through the claim and dispute-resolution process, evaluating coverage, and coordinating with insurers, TPAs, and defense counsel to move matters toward resolution.

The position requires deep construction claims knowledge, strong judgment, and proactive client service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial insurance or construction claims.
• Experience with construction general liability and casualty claims.
• New York Labor Law knowledge (200/240/241(6)) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for general contractors through claims and dispute resolution.
• Evaluate coverage and risk-transfer opportunities with insurers and counsel.
• Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and defense/coverage counsel to resolve claims.
• Analyze insurance requirements, indemnity provisions, and priority of coverage.
• Lead litigated construction claims, risk transfer, and settlement posture.
