Job summary

Our client, a leading Am Law firm, seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join its Risk Management and Conflicts team. This role offers substantial remote work flexibility with occasional in-office attendance and focuses on professional responsibility, conflicts analysis, and law firm risk management.

You will review and resolve conflicts related to new clients, matters, lateral hires, and ongoing representations, collaborating with firm attorneys, compliance professionals, and leadership to ensure

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active U.S. license.
• Experience as a practicing attorney or conflicts attorney in a law firm preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal ethics, professional responsibility rules, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest for new clients, matters, and hires.
• Maintain knowledge of ABA Model Rules and jurisdictional ethics rules.
• Research domestic and international professional responsibility requirements.
• Review intake submissions for complete conflict information.
• Develop conflict search strategies and analyze reports.
• Draft waivers, engagement letters, and ethical wall documentation.
• Establish and manage ethical screens and information barriers.
• Coordinate with attorneys, compliance, and leadership on conflicts issues.
• Review lateral hire conflict analyses and assist with resolutions.
• Prepare written guidance on conflicts and professional responsibility.
• Support training and risk management initiatives.
