Job summary

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to research, review, and resolve conflict of interest issues related to new matters and lateral hires. You will collaborate with partners, Ethics Counsel, Claims Counsel, and recruiting across multiple offices, including Phoenix, to efficiently assist with openings and ongoing maintenance.

The role may be fully remote from certain offices and requires strong writing, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in one or more states.
• 2+ years of experience clearing conflicts, drafting waiver letters, and implementing outside counsel guidelines.
• 2+ years of experience with Intapp Conflicts.
• 2+ years of experience opening matters for lateral-hire attorneys at a large law firm.

Responsibilities

• Research, review and analyze conflicts reports to identify conflicts and assist attorneys in resolving them.
• Identify potential conflicts to ensure compliance with policies and professional conduct rules.
• Advise attorneys on conflicts clearance status and ensure timely matter openings.
• Use firm software to review and clear conflicts and document steps taken.
