Job summary

Dorsey & Whitney LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to research, review, and resolve conflict of interest issues for new matters and lateral hires. The role collaborates with Ethics Counsel, Claims Counsel, recruiting and lawyers across offices, with potential for full remote work from Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, or Salt Lake City.

You will review conflicts reports, advise attorneys, and use the firm’s systems to clear conflicts, draft waivers, and maintain outside counsel

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in one or more states.
• At least 2 years of conflicts clearing experience.
• Experience with drafting waivers and ethical walls.
• Experience with Intapp Conflicts.
• Experience opening matters for lateral hires.

Responsibilities

• Research, review and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts.
• Ensure conflicts clearance supports timely matter openings.
• Draft conflicts waivers and establish ethics walls as requested.
• Review engagement letters for conflicts language and requirements.
• Assist with training on conflicts and matter openings for attorneys and staff.
• Maintain conflicts data in the firm’s systems and document steps taken.
