Roers Companies is seeking an energetic Compliance Specialist to join our team. This remote-friendly role focuses on processing move-in applications, annual recertifications, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines across multiple sites.

You will verify income data, coordinate with site teams, and support audits while upholding Roers’ values of passion, work ethic, teamwork, integrity, and ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-4+ years of affordable housing compliance experience.
• Strong attention to detail with multiple certifications and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service with applicants and residents.
• Experience with property management or compliance software preferred (Yardi, Rent Café).

Responsabilités

• Process and track move-in applications within 3-5 business days of submission.
• Process and track annual recertifications within 30 days of the effective date.
• Verify and input applicant income, assets, and household information per guidelines.
• Ensure move-in files are complete and ready for compliance review before lease signing.
• Communicate with applicants, residents, and site teams to request documentation.
• Support timely move-ins and occupancy goals with property management staff.
• Maintain organized records in compliance systems and track status for leadership.
• Assist in preparing move-in files for audits and annual compliance reports.
• Collaborate with senior compliance to resolve deficiencies and maintain standards.
• Provide guidance to site teams on program requirements as needed.
