Roers Companies seeks an energetic Compliance Specialist to join a remote team serving U.S. markets. You will process move-in applications, recertifications, and documentation while ensuring strict adherence to program guidelines and deadlines.

You will collaborate with property teams, support audits, and help maintain accurate records across compliance systems. This role offers growth and learning within a national real estate leader.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of Affordable housing compliance experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple certifications and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with applicants, residents, and colleagues.
• Experience with property management or compliance software preferred (e.g., Yardi, Rent Café).
• Prior affordable housing or compliance experience is highly preferred; training available for motivated candidates.

Responsabilités

• Process and track move-in applications and ensure timely approvals (3-5 business days).
• Process and track annual recertifications (within 30 days of the effective date).
• Input applicant income, assets, and household information in compliance with guidelines.
• Maintain complete move-in files ready for compliance review prior to lease signing.
• Communicate with applicants, residents, and site teams to obtain missing documentation.
• Partner with property management to support timely move-ins and occupancy goals.
• Maintain organized records in property management and compliance systems.
• Track application status and provide updates to Compliance Leadership and regional managers.
• Assist in preparing move-in files for audits and annual compliance reports.
• Collaborate with senior compliance to resolve deficiencies and maintain standards.
• Provide guidance to site teams on program requirements and processes.
