Roers Companies seeks an energetic Compliance Specialist to join our team in a remote-capable role servicing U.S. sites. You will manage move-in applications, verify income and assets, and ensure files meet program guidelines while supporting audits and occupancy goals.

Ideal candidates have 3-4+ years in affordable housing compliance, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Training opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of affordable housing compliance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with applicants, residents, and colleagues.
• Experience with property management or compliance software (Yardi, Rent Café) preferred.
• Willing to learn and training potential.

Responsabilités

• Process and track move-in applications within 3-5 business days of submission.
• Process and track annual recertifications within 30 days of the annual recertification effective date.
• Collect, verify, and input applicant income, asset, and household information.
• Ensure move-in files are complete, accurate, and ready for compliance review and approval prior to lease signing.
• Communicate with applicants, residents, and site teams to request missing documents.
• Collaborate with property management staff to support timely move-ins and occupancy goals.
• Maintain organized records in property management and compliance systems.
• Track application status and provide updates to Compliance Leadership and regional managers.
• Assist in preparing move-in files for audits.
• Contribute to annual compliance reports.
