Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to provide legal guidance to institutional stakeholders and University Counsel supervision. The role focuses on contracts, compliance with Title IX, ADA, privacy, technology, and other regulatory matters for in-person and online programs.

Significant drafting and negotiation of contracts and policies are required. Responsibilities include advising on ethical operations, international compliance for the student population, and collaboration

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• attaining approved house counsel status in Connecticut is required
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions (such as copyright ownership, data privacy and protection, IT security, indemnification, insurance, etc.)
• Ability and desire to develop working knowledge of laws, regulations and policies related to higher education
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Speak effectively one on one, or in small or large groups across a variety of formats including in person and virtual presentations
• Superior drafting and negotiating skills
• Strong research, writing, editing, and oral advocacy skills
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Aufgaben

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and alliances, and agreements involving data privacy and security, international matters, and intellectual property
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population
• Supports the legal and compliance groups with other matters as requested involving areas of law such as privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing (once these areas are learned) to ensure University compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Performs legal research, drafts and develops resource material, and performs educational outreach within the institution on legal and regulatory issues
