Job summary

Chinook Systems is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to coordinate and deliver commissioning services across planning, design, construction, and operations lifecycles. You will apply technical expertise to solve complex problems, review junior staff work, and drive project success for client facilities.

The role is remote with travel to client sites up to 10–20% and requires a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/related field or equivalent.
• 8+ years direct commissioning experience for facilities systems (lighting, HVAC, power, controls).
• 4+ years of people management/supervision experience.
• 2+ years of commissioning/engineerin g project management experience.
• CxA/CCP/CBCP or equivalent commissioning certification.
• Knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSA.
• Proficiency with Office suite and scheduling software.
• Valid state driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning, energy management and facilities management services across multiple projects.
• Analyze and interpret RFPs and design/construction documents.
• Prepare commissioning plans, specs, checklists, tests, and reports.
• Conduct design reviews and facilitate training plans and O&M manuals.
• Conduct site observations and witness functional performance testing.
• Resolve coordination issues impacting equipment startup and testing.
• Ensure conformance with project requirements and contract documents.
• Attend internal and external project meetings.
• Review technical reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Facilitate transition to operations and maintenance programs.
• Build relationships with internal staff, clients and external partners.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Support bid/proposal documentation.
• Adhere to SOPs and processes.
• Prepare project estimates, schedules and work plans.
• Conduct project reviews and status presentations.
