Job summary

Chinook Systems, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to support clients through commissioning across planning, design, construction, warranty, and operations. You will apply your technical expertise to deliver solutions to complex problems, coaching junior staff and guiding project teams to successful outcomes.

The position is remote with up to 10-20% travel; the majority of clients are in the Eastern Time Zone. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in commissioning facilities systems (lighting, HVAC, power, UPS, etc.).
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years managing commissioning and/or engineering projects.
• CxA, CCP, CBCP or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSA.
• Experience with ASHRAE Energy Audits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver commissioning services across lifecycle stages.
• Analyze and interpret design docs, codes, and scopes.
• Prepare commissioning plans, specs, checklists, tests, and reports.
• Review design, training plans, and O&M manuals.
• Conduct site observations and witness testing.
• Resolve coordination issues affecting startup and testing.
• Ensure conformance with project requirements and contract docs.
• Attend internal and external project meetings.
• Review technical reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Support transition to operations and maintenance programs.
• Develop client relationships and provide guidance.
• Assist with bid and proposal documentation.
• Adhere to SOPs and processes.
• Prepare project estimates, schedules, and work plans.
• Conduct project reviews and status presentations.
• Conduct QA on deliverables and activities.
• Prioritize tasks within budget and schedule.
