Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an experienced Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business and support new business. The role emphasizes coordinating administrative tasks, client service, policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals, while ensuring accuracy and proactive service.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in the insurance industry, with an active P&C license and preferred CIC designation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing is required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activity and suspense.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
