Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book across states with remote and hybrid flexibility. You will retain accounts, support new business, and coordinate day-to-day admin and service requests.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license (CIC preferred), strong analytical and communication skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license is required; trucking/commercial transportation experience preferred.
• 3+ years of account management in insurance, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms to ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain transparent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs; respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in IOA values.
