Job summary

ClickHouse is hiring a Commercial Solutions Architect to own the technical side of the sales cycle for accounts under 250 employees. You will engage data engineers, platform teams, and founders to design solutions, resolve ingestion and schema challenges, and deliver robust reference implementations and architecture guidance.

Ideal candidates have deep data engineering experience, strong SQL and cloud skills, and are comfortable in customer-facing roles.

Qualifications

• Deep technical foundation in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Experience with the modern data stack (Kafka/Kinesis, cloud infra, SQL workflows).
• Some customer-facing experience (pre-sales, solutions engineering, or similar).
• Ability to drive fast evaluations and unblock deals without a playbook.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical evaluation process from first convo to POC and onboarding.
• Engage with data engineers, platform architects, and founders to map use cases and infra needs.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, schema design, and integration during evaluations to unblock deals.
• Deliver reference implementations, POCs, and architecture recommendations for production-grade use.
• Collaborate with Commercial AEs to progress opportunities; you own the technical win.
• Advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering; be the voice of the tech buyer.
• Contribute to technical playbooks and reusable POC assets to scale success.
• Participate in developer communities and events to build credibility.
