Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a remote Commercial Project Delivery Director to oversee construction and capital projects across solar, storage, wind, and EV infrastructure. The role drives schedule, cost, safety, and long-term operability, with responsibility for EPC relationships and gate discipline throughout the portfolio.

The director will create protocols, reporting, and processes where none exist, enforce rigorous turnover, and defend punchlists with contractors.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in construction or project delivery within energy, utility, or infrastructure.
• Direct EPC contract administration experience.
• Experience with commissioning and turnover acceptance.
• Ability to manage schedule, cost, and safety concerns.
• Experience holding a commercial position with a contractor under schedule pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own the Project Delivery to Operations Protocol and enforce it across cycles.
• Serve as decision authority at Gates and provide documented risk positions.
• Resolve punchlist disputes and defend non-completion against waivers.
• Maintain the portfolio gate forecast and surface holds early for decisions.
• Own the delivery risk register and drive mitigation to closure.
