Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a remote Commercial Project Controls & Coordination Manager to lead schedule, cost, change, and contract controls across solar, storage, wind, and EV infrastructure portfolios. The role blends analytical scheduling with coordination of registers, document vault, and reporting cadence to enable evidence-based gate decisions.

The candidate combines five or more years in project controls or scheduling with advanced Excel and Primavera P6 or MS Project, and experience

Qualifications

• Five or more years in project controls, cost engineering, or scheduling within construction, energy, or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ownership of schedule baselines and earned value reporting on capital projects.
• Working knowledge of EPC contract terms, including milestones, retainage, and change authority.
• Advanced Excel; scheduling software proficiency (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Ability to report variances clearly to project leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the integrated project schedule baseline; control baseline changes through a documented change process.
• Review EPC-submitted schedules for logic integrity and critical path credibility.
• Maintain portfolio milestone and gate forecasts; flag slips early for informed decisions.
• Perform schedule variance and trend analysis and distinguish recoverable vs structural slip.
• Own the change order log and assess each change against contracted scope.
• Abstract EPC agreements into standard term registers and track baseline exposures.
• Own the punchlist register system and ensure data integrity and timely closure.
• Produce monthly owner project review packages and weekly gate/variance reporting.
• Define and enforce data standards; build reporting tooling and dashboards.
