Job summary

RES in Denver seeks a Lead Project Controls Manager to drive cost control and contract management across solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution projects. You will lead a Project Controls team, oversee cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, and financial reporting, and collaborate with Construction PMs to deliver safely, on time, and on budget.

The role requires up to 50% site travel, leadership of a growing team, and proven ability to manage budgets, risks, and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or Accounting (or 8+ years related experience).
• 8+ years Project Controls/Commercial Manager experience in a construction environment.
• 1+ years supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically 31–50%.
• Valid Driver’s license and strong leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; Primavera P6 and cost databases experience.
• Strong writing and reporting skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost control functions: budgets, forecasts, earned value, and cash flow analysis.
• Manage contracts and change orders, ensuring compliance and timely client approvals.
• Lead reporting: daily/weekly/monthly project cost reports and client communications.
• Support site travel up to 50% and collaborate with Construction PMs to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Mentor and develop Project Controls staff and maintain Procore/SH SOP compliance.
• Ensure safety, quality, and client relationship management throughout the project lifecycle.
